Why use a buyer’s agent anyway?

Why use a buyer’s agent anyway?

There are many times in your life when you need to decide whether to hire a professional or try to muddle through on your own.  For example, should you prepare your own tax return or hire someone who knows tax law in depth?  Should you repair your own sink or hire a plumber?  Should you file your own divorce papers or hire an attorney?  In all of these cases you may be tempted to try it on your own because using a professional will cost you some money.  However, in all these cases there are things you don’t know that you don’t know and not knowing could cost you more than the professional.  Are you missing tax deductions?  Is the leak that you missed causing hidden but extensive damage to your home?  Are you missing out on alimony that you would have been entitled to?
